I'm a Cornell University graduate with a major in Industrial and Labor Relations and a minor in business. My career has taken me across some of the most dynamic fields out there. After Cornell, I joined Deloitte as a management consultant, working with Fortune 500 companies, then transitioned to a private family office where I led climate strategy for a philanthropy portfolio. Driven by a passion for sustainability and entrepreneurship, I went on to culinary school before pursuing a dual MBA/Master of Climate Solutions at UC Berkeley. I've worked with students from both public and private high schools, and I bring the same strategic, big-picture thinking from my career to help students craft compelling, authentic applications that stand out to college admissions teams.

I bring an international perspective to college coaching, having lived and studied in multiple countries and navigated different application systems firsthand. I completed my undergraduate studies at Columbia University in the US and earned my master’s degree from Sciences Po Paris, which gives me a deep understanding of both American and European admissions processes. Over the years, I’ve coached students applying to undergraduate and master’s programs, helping them position themselves strategically while staying true to who they are. My approach goes beyond prestige: I care about finding a place where you’ll not only succeed academically, but actually be happy and fulfilled. I’ve spent my career in highly selective environments, both earning admission to them and evaluating talent within them. I understand what top universities look for beyond grades and test scores. Being the daughter of immigrations, oldest of three siblings AND a first generation college student here in the US, you could say that I had a lot of hurdles to jump over when I was applying to undergrad. Having my residency status stacked against me as an international student, I discovered the hard way how difficult getting into a competitive undergrad program could be when you do not have the right tools to help yourself. Since then, I have always made an effort to work with high school students specifically so that I can pay forward everything that I learned. While i was able to figure things out on my own - there was so much struggle that I would not wish on anyone else. Applied to and was admitted to several UC and Ivy League schools during my undergraduate application process in 2019. I ultimately attended a local state school due to receiving a full scholarship and wanting to live locally. Before graduating from my undergraduate university, I again received admission to top graduate programs at schools such as UPenn, MIT, and Yale. I’m qualified to guide students through the college admissions process because I’ve been through it at the highest levels of success myself. I earned admission to Brown University with a likely letter, which reflects not only strong academics but also a well-rounded application that stood out among a competitive pool. In addition, I was awarded the Banneker/Key Scholarship at the University of Maryland — the school’s most prestigious full-ride merit scholarship given to only a small number of top applicants. On top of that, I received the Gates Millennium Scholarship, a nationally competitive and prestigious award that recognizes outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and community service. On paper, I am a Princeton college graduate, and a Stanford MBA graduate - as well as the less conventional qualification of being an admitted Ph.D. student in Anthropology at UC Irvine. More importantly to me, I grew up in a working class community, and applied to these programs with few paths tread ahead of me to set an example. For that reason, I'm passionate about working with students who are developing their voice and narrative in the application process - because with such competitive programs out there, anyone can often feel like an underdog. To date, most of my coaching has been with low-income students who have lacked extensive resources, so I am most supportive in framing narratives in ways that hint at the unique, if sometimes scrappy, qualifications of a student. I like to focus on the whole picture that an applicant brings to the table, from individual traits, to passions, to family background - alongside all the standard materials an application holds. Hello! I've gone through the application process for getting into school 4 times in the past decades. I've earned degrees from Stanford University (BS), Georgia Institute of Technology (MS), and Harvard University (MBA and MS). I especially enjoy writing and editing essays; I had my undergraduate essay for Stanford featured in a book titled "50 successful Stanford Application Essays : Write Your Way Into the College of your Choice", was a finalist for the Boothe Prize for Excellence in Freshman Writing, and scored in the 99% percentile for verbal reasoning on both the GMAT and SAT. I've also had the honor and privilege of serving as an Admissions Interview Volunteer for my alma mater for a few years. As a result of all of this experience, I believe that I have a deep understanding of the college admissions process and what it takes to get into a great university. I have a track record of helping students achieve their goals, whether it's through mentoring programs like Big Brothers Big Sisters or facilitating workshops with organizations like /dev/color. I've had experience as a teaching assistant at Stanford and done research work in graduate education so I have a unique perspective on the challenges students face and how to overcome them.
