Hello! One of my guiding principles in life is the transformative power of education. As a first-generation American, I've seen firsthand the power that a quality education has to improve one's station in life. My coaching philosophy is holistic - I've helped students with everything from improving their SAT scores to crafting a powerful narrative to ensuring they are applying to schools that are the right "fit" for them. I draw on my own college experience, my past clients' process, and my time as a Harvard alumni admissions interviewer to inform your admissions journey. Additionally, my childhood in a multilingual household and my experience working overseas makes me uniquely positioned to help students who studied outside of the US or for whom English is not a native language.

A lot of people will tell you that college admissions is solely a numbers game. That's a lie - and I'm the proof. I came from a working-class background and navigated college admissions without the help of guidance counselors and got into elite colleges. I've helped many soon-to-be-college grads do the same. Here's the insight: what colleges want to know is whether or not you are smart, thoughtful, ambitious, and if you'll fit into their school's mold. Those usually sound like: High GPA, High LSAT, and a ton of extracurricular activities that pad your college resume. But not everybody has those items -- and not everyone needs them to get into great schools. That’s where I come in. I specialize in helping students identify the 'hidden assets' in their background: the grit, the unique perspective, and the authentic voice that standardized tests simply can’t capture. Together, we will craft a narrative that proves you aren’t just another applicant with good grades, but a future leader who adds distinct value to their campus. My goal is to help you translate your life experiences into a story that admissions officers can't ignore, turning your unique background into your biggest competitive advantage.

After graduating with both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees, working for UNC Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and working as a College Admissions Consultant, I am well-versed in the world of college admissions. I've helped students with everything from choosing classes and extracurriculars, standardized test preparation, and school selections to editing their Common App Essay/personal statements, helping formulate their application, and interview preparation. I have additionally lived in four different countries and am very comfortable advising international students, as well as US students that hope to go to university abroad, specifically in the UK. Some schools my students have gotten into include: Northwestern, University of Washington, UNC Chapel Hill, Hofstra BS/MD program, Penn State Schreyer Honors College, Virginia Tech, and more.

Current student at Brown University pursuing dual bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science-Economics and International and Public Affairs. With 4 years of experience in college counseling, I have helped over 100 students apply for college and find out what school tailors to their strengths. I provide a thorough assessment of each students' grade point average, standardized test scores, extra curricular activities, sports, jobs, internships, and more in order to help my students craft a compelling college application. With colleges getting more and more competitive each year, it is paramount to have personal statements, essays, and resumes that stand out to admissions committees. I thoroughly review my students' application essays for grammar, style, and content. I also provide feedback to help my students convey their unique stories and personalities effectively. Finally, I work to teach you the intricacies of financial aid, scholarships, and grants. I'll assist you in finding options to make higher education more affordable.

While I was in college, I worked for two years as a Student Outreach Mentor for GEAR UP, a federally-funded program designed to help students prepare for college. In this role, I mentored students 1:1 to help them complete the FAFSA, prepare for the ACT/SAT, and apply for college and scholarships. Personally, I've received over $150,000 worth of scholarships for undergraduate and grad school, and I can help with identifying opportunities, crafting your story, writing essays, and highlighting other accomplishments.
