Hello! I am a JD / MBA candidate at Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. I have a BA from Yale and an MPhil from Cambridge. I have professional experience in investment banking, private equity and venture capital. I offer admissions advice for law school, business school, and undergraduate candidates. I also offer LSAT tutoring. I generally do not offer these services, but I am saving up for my wedding! All clients welcome!

I graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a degree in Biopsychology, Community Health, and Political Science. My journey continues at Harvard Kennedy School and Yale Law School, where I am pursuing a joint degree. I received multiple scholarships for every year of my undergraduate experience, and am passionate about making college accessible to students from all backgrounds. Applying to college can be daunting, but as a team we can find the right place for you! Having worked on high education projects for Bain & Company, as an education policy consultant at the Gates Foundation, and as an ESL teacher for years I have a holistic view of the high education sector and what it takes to position yourself as a successful applicant.

How does a student with a 3.5 GPA make it to the top of the waitlist of a #1 program while those with higher GPAs were rejected? How does a student rejected from Yale REA receive multiple offers from top schools in the RD round and receive personal notes from Penn and Johns Hopkins admissions officers? How do other students get into multiple Ivy Leagues and have them offer to fly them to visit campus? They trust me to help them tell their stories. I help students get an edge in college admissions, college essays (Common App and supplementals), and career navigation while finding peace and joy. Having trained with admissions directors from Stanford and worked directly with admissions officers from Columbia, Duke, UVA, and UMD, I have strong insights into how admissions decisions are made. I have also coached directors and Presidents in higher education, which gives me further insight into colleges' priorities. My writing has also been widely recognized. The Duke English Director of Undergraduate Studies called my work "an academic achievement," and distinguished Harvard professors have placed my writing in the Top 4%. I have also been published on the Gates Foundation website and have been mentioned multiple times by a 4x #1 NYT Bestselling Author Marianne Williamson for my writing and insights into the human condition.

I’ve successfully guided students through the college application process, with three earning admission to their top-choice schools—including highly selective institutions like Wellesley (15% acceptance rate) and Pomona College (7% acceptance rate). As a current Harvard junior studying Neuroscience and Economics, I bring both firsthand experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to stand out in competitive admissions. From publishing research at Boston Children’s Hospital to pitching startups through Harvard Undergraduate Ventures, I’ve navigated rigorous academics while pursuing my passions in science and entrepreneurship. My goal is to help students not only get accepted—but to thrive once they’re there. I got into 13/16 colleges I applied to without a high GPA.

While I was preparing for my university applications, I recognized that one of the most important components of the application is the essay and having a hook in extracurricular activities. It's not the GPA/SAT score like many believe (which in actuality is only a checkbox for the admissions committee). I was able to fully understand how the admissions committee evaluates an application after reading my Stanford application and the admission committee comments on there. Beyond the basics of the application from helping with SAT prep and extracurricular planning, I will focus my time on being able to translate your extracurricular activities into a meaningful essay and supplementals.

I’ve guided students through every step of the process, from strategic course planning and letter of recommendation strategy to powerful, authentic essay writing that speaks directly to what admissions officers want to see. My students have been admitted to UC schools, USC, elite private liberal arts colleges, and Ivy League institutions, many attending for a fraction of the sticker price. Hi, I'm Julia! I graduated from Wesleyan University in 2020 with a B.A. in Government & Psychology. I am currently pursuing a J.D. at Yale Law School, with a focus on civil rights and social justice issues. I bring a wealth of experience in legal research and advocacy to my college coaching. Before law school, I worked for the Brennan Center for Justice and the Innocence Project, where I honed my skills in strategic litigation and research. I have a proven track record of assisting other students, having tutored and worked as a teaching apprentice in college and supervised legal interns while working. I have extensive experience in writing and education, and therefore bring a unique perspective to college admissions coaching. As a current Fulbright Scholar, I have spent significant time crafting application essays for fellowships, and learning how to make these essays competitive. My time in Taiwan through Fulbright has also taught me to work on English writing with people from a wide range of backgrounds including internationally. As former Presidential Writer at The White House, I honed my skills in crafting precise and impactful narratives on extremely tight deadlines in a high pressure environment. My work as a tutor at SpiderSmart learning centers has equipped me with the tools to guide high schoolers through the intricacies of the application process, making sure that they put their stories, and their best foot forward. Additionally, my leadership roles in political campaigns have helped hone my ability to mentor and manage, which I apply to support students in achieving their academic goals. As a graduate of the University of Chicago, I also bring my own experience navigating the competitive college admissions process.
