On the GRE, I scored a 168 on the Verbal, a 162 on the Quantitative, and a 5.5 on the Writing sections. The GRE is a game with rules to beating it. My first score was in the 50th percentile. I studied my way to 99th percentile, so it's definitely possible. It often happens that one's natural habits/practices form the strongest basis for excellence in a certain area -- a good reason for why none of my friends batted an eyelash when they heard I had begun training students in the GRE. Essentially the only books I ever read are the classics of Victorian age European and American literature, whose heightened word choices provide me with a unique appreciation/understanding for the vocabulary questions of the GRE (now a full 1/2 of the verbal questions!). But that's not all. I've had the privilege of training students in the GRE for around a decade, and am highly versed in the reading comprehension, logic, and quantitative questions. Perhaps that's why more than 60% of the students I take on are able to crank up their cumulative score by 12 points or more. Not only that, but 93% of my GRE students end up with thick envelopes -- the ones containing acceptance letters -- mailed to them by their first and second choices of grad school.

I began my GRE journey in 2017 with an official score of 317. Over the years, I worked with multiple coaches, yet my score refused to move and I couldn’t even break 320. That’s when I stopped chasing tips and started treating the GRE like a game to be decoded. I did a deep, data-driven analysis of my mistakes, patterns, and test behavior, and rebuilt my preparation from first principles. After six months of focused self-study in 2025, I raised my score to 333, including a 170 in Quant. Today, I help candidates who feel “stuck” do the same by replacing generic coaching with precise strategy, clarity, and execution that actually works.
