I began my GRE journey in 2017 with an official score of 317. Over the years, I worked with multiple coaches, yet my score refused to move and I couldn’t even break 320. That’s when I stopped chasing tips and started treating the GRE like a game to be decoded. I did a deep, data-driven analysis of my mistakes, patterns, and test behavior, and rebuilt my preparation from first principles. After six months of focused self-study in 2025, I raised my score to 333, including a 170 in Quant. Today, I help candidates who feel “stuck” do the same by replacing generic coaching with precise strategy, clarity, and execution that actually works.

About Simran

I don't come from a typical cookie-cutter MBA pipeline. I went to a Tier-3 college in India that most people haven’t heard of. I worked in industries and companies where no one talked about Harvard, let alone planned for it. As an international applicant from an over-represented background, I knew the odds were stacked against me. I managed to get into Harvard Business School through intentional career choices and a clear story of impact. Along the way, I was incredibly lucky. People took time out of their lives to mentor me, review my applications, and believe in me when I didn’t fully believe in myself. I wouldn’t be where I am without them. Coaching on Leland is my way of giving that back. I do not "sell a dream" or maximize my profit. I do this because people once invested their time and resources in my success, and I want to do the same for others. If you don’t come from a flashy school, brand-name company, or “perfect” background, I get it. I’ve been there. And I want to help you see that your story, when told honestly and clearly, is enough.

Why do I coach?

I coach because I was lucky to have mentors over the last decade who helped me shape my career trajectory and my narrative. They propelled me like a rocket, providing insights on everything - even the small but crucial decisions, like whether to take the GMAT or GRE. Their personal experiences gave me a reference point I could consider, adapt, and follow for myself. I want to do the same for others (without asking for your inheritance in return) because what I received was given generously, with time, guidance, and belief!
