I'm Ryan, a former musician turned consultant turned Duke Fuqua MBA, now working in finance at State Street in Boston. My journey to business school was driven by a mission to leave communities better than I found them—through work in climate/sustainability, impact investing, and international development. As the first in my family and network to pursue an MBA, I had to navigate the application process largely on my own. Now, I help others avoid the guesswork. I am currently a student at Harvard Business School (HBS), where I was admitted in R1. I also received early (deferred) admission to MIT Sloan and Columbia Business School. I went to undergrad at the University of Southern California (USC), where I was awarded a full scholarship with stipend. I am originally from New York, and worked there for four years post-undergrad at Goldman Sachs and Salesforce. My background is primarily in Strategy & Operations, with a focus on M&A and Go-To-Market (GTM) functions. I will be working at McKinsey & Company in New York this upcoming summer. I have several years of experience coaching and mentoring peers through application processes, from essay editing to resume revisions to interview preparation.
