I help candidates navigate the MBA journey end to end because I have personally gone through every stage of it and understand how tightly admissions decisions and post-MBA outcomes are linked. From GMAT strategy and school selection to regional trade-offs, cost-benefit analysis, scholarships, networking, interviews and final admit decisions, I have built and executed this process myself across US, European, and Indian business schools. I did not treat the MBA as a checkbox. I approached it as a strategic investment and designed my application and career plan accordingly. Since 2021, I have coached 18 candidates who have gone on to top-20 business schools. I work with clients to define their long-term career direction, shape a credible narrative and position them as candidates who know why they are pursuing an MBA and what they plan to do with it. This includes supporting professionals looking to change sector, function and region - A transition I successfully made myself during my MBA. Beyond admissions, I help clients prepare for post-MBA recruiting in consulting, leadership programs and big tech by aligning their MBA choices with realistic career outcomes. Hey there! I'm Katie—I earned dual MBA/MPA degrees at Stanford GSB and SPIA, and coach admissions for MBA, MPA, and fellowship programs for graduate and undergraduate students. I grew up in Tennessee, and got life-changing opportunities to gain a higher education through three fully-paid programs: the Jefferson Scholarship, the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship, and Princeton SPIA's funded MPA program. I've successfully navigated admissions to multiple MBA and MPA programs, and have weighed virtually every combination of joint degree and fellowship program out there. I know how high-stakes these application processes can feel, and how important it is to develop an application and interview in a way that reflects what you uniquely bring to the table. Beyond my own experience, I've spent six years serving on scholarship and admissions selection committees. I've seen how reviewers read applications, what makes essays memorable, and how candidates can avoid common obstacles in the process. I've coached +20 students through every stage of the process—from preparing for standardized tests and identifying the right programs, to crafting compelling narratives and preparing for interviews that feel authentic. Beyond working in investment policy, I love exploring running routes through my new hometown of San Francisco, dabbling on the piano, playing tennis at the park up the street, and hosting dinner parties with my wife.

I earned my MBA from Stanford GSB after initially being turned down, and I know firsthand that success isn’t about becoming “more impressive,” but about becoming clearer, more honest, and more intentional in how you tell your story. Before business school, I worked at McKinsey & Company and later led large-scale operations at Rocket Internet and Uber across multiple countries. Since then, I’ve founded and scaled mission-driven companies, including the country's largest worker cooperative, raised capital, served on boards, and won a Tony as a Broadway producer. As a first-generation college graduate from the South Side of Chicago, I know what it means to navigate the MBA journey without a roadmap.
