Welcome to my profile! I recently graduated with my MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. During my time in grad school, I was a member of the admissions committee; between this experience and the experience of applying to schools myself, I have quite a few insights into the MBA admissions process. I have personally been admitted to several M7 and T15 MBA programs, including Chicago Booth, Columbia Business School, and Cornell Johnson — with over USD 200K in merit scholarships. Additionally, I am a recipient of some of the most prestigious and competitive graduate fellowships in the world, such as the Schwarzman Scholars program at Tsinghua University with only a 3% acceptance rate annually. Spent some quality time at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, diving deep into strategic consulting and solving all sorts of puzzles. I received deferred admissions to HBS/GSB as a senior at UT Austin, a non-target school for admissions. I went through dozens of iterations on my essays and have a background in Creative Writing that helped me and will help you as well! Authenticity and storytelling also play a major role in the behavioral interview, which is another area of my expertise.

I got into Wharton as a 35-year-old with a 2.85 undergrad GPA My success was a result of my ability to effectively tell my story and build a compelling application.

Having gone through the MBA application process and achieved admittance to the five schools to which I applied (Booth, Darden, HBS, Kellogg, and Wharton), I know the dedication required to submit compelling applications that yield your desired result. In addition to this, I've helped a number of prospective MBAs think through their interest in business schools in general, as well as strategize to improve their candidacy. This has ranged from advice on taking specific courses to demonstrate capabilities in weak areas (e.g., 3-credit online, quantitative course to balance a humanities major or a low undergrad quant grade) to tactical tips on navigating a waitlist successfully and receiving an offer of admission. This has also included guidance on GMAT and GRE prep and big-picture thinking to investigate a targeted list of post-MBA career options. I came from a more traditional background at first glance (investment banking, private equity) but had a non-traditional major (Art History) coupled with a personal passion (sustainability) that I hadn't yet explored professionally, but was committed to pursuing in the future. Strengthening weak spots while weaving together my divergent experiences and interests (art, music, Italian language and culture, volunteer tutoring, environmentalism, finance) in my application and detailing my targeted career path (sustainable finance) was a challenging but rewarding experience.
