I got into Stanford GSB's deferred MBA program and have helped hundreds of college students navigate similar paths through founding HeadStart Fellowship. My own path to business school was anything but traditional: I moved to the U.S. from Turkey to attend the University of Chicago. Unlike most business school applicants, I left consulting within a year and joined a small startup that later went public. I was fortunate to be admitted to both MIT Sloan with a scholarship and HBS, and can confidently say I know how to package a unique background into a compelling application. I’m especially passionate about helping nontraditional and international candidates stand out. I speak Turkish and love supporting Turkish applicants in particular. Coaching others for their development is what I do best and the thread that runs throughout my entire career. As an educator, I coached students in developing & sharing their stories and supporting them in their personal growth, including coaching two high school clients to admission at the University of Pennsylvania and Georgia Tech, both clients' first choice schools. At the Stanford GSB, I spend most of my extracurricular time coaching others in personal narrative development as a TALK Coach, where I coach dozens of classmates on preparing and sharing their stories with the rest of their classmates.
