Hello! I am a JD / MBA candidate at Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. I have a BA from Yale and an MPhil from Cambridge. I have professional experience in investment banking, private equity and venture capital. I offer admissions advice for law school, business school, and undergraduate candidates. I also offer LSAT tutoring. I generally do not offer these services, but I am saving up for my wedding! All clients welcome!

As an immigrant to the US educated entirely in the public education system, I independently navigated the application and admissions processes for American undergraduate programs (without any coaching!) I applied to twenty universities (Public & Private) and succeeded in being admitted nearly everywhere I applied, including several Ivy League colleges like Brown, Dartmouth, Yale, as well as Stanford. While I was applying to colleges, I was also applying to many scholarships offered by universities and external scholarships, before ultimately deciding to attend Vanderbilt University, where I received a full merit scholarship. During my time at Vanderbilt, I applied to and received various additional scholarships to fund study abroad and international work experiences, including a FLAS fellowship and the Fulbright program (which I declined due to an offer to join the UN). Going to the Air Force Academy was the best decision of my life. Because I went to school there, I earned my master's degree from Harvard (for free), got a job at one of the best places to work (Bain), and even met my wife. After it gave me so much, I wanted to give back to the Academy by serving as an admissions support officer. In this position, I mentored and evaluated 5 applicants, learning exactly what Service Academies look for in potential candidates. The application process is complex and intimidating, but, I'm ready to support you at every step. Service Academies aren't for everyone, but they are truly life-changing. When I was in your shoes as a high school student, I could not afford an admissions consulting firm, or to pay a former adcom member who only understands how one school thinks. I personally authored 100% of my end-to-end applications (essays, CVs, interview preparation, etc.) without these resources. Through a deep understanding of how to craft an authentic application, I was admitted to four Ivy League undergraduate schools despite having attended a public school in Kentucky that could not offer me admissions counseling: Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth and UPenn. I have worked with students for many years. In particular, I am interested in helping applicants to college and also graduate school perfect their essays. I am a published writer, with extensive writing and editing experience. I have written three books. I have also written hundreds of articles as a published columnist for a magazine directed towards college students. I worked at a college as an Assistant Dean for more than 20 years, and addition, have a Certificate in College Counseling from Columbia University's Teachers College. I really enjoy brainstorming with applicants about their essays, schools that would be a great fit for them, and how to get there. I am a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School. For many years, I also served as a volunteer alumni interviewer for Brown University.

College admissions can be incredibly daunting. I remember being in your shoes and wondering what I should write, where I should apply, and what to say during my interviews. Ten years later, I have been through this process several times now to gain admission to college and medical schools. My experience has taught me that it is incredibly important to spend time reflecting on your goals and how your background has helped you formulate them. Only then can you begin to craft a stellar application that will not only stand out to admissions committees, but also stay true to yourself. When done correctly, the process of applying to college should help you better understand what you want out of your education and why.
