Harvard & Vanderbilt grad helping students find their best-fit college
Hi, I’m Jacqueline, a college admissions coach and essay strategist with seven years of experience working in both college admissions coaching and higher education. I hold a master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
I’m passionate about helping students find colleges where they will genuinely thrive — not just building the “perfect” application. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked both directly with students and within higher education itself, giving me a unique perspective on the admissions process from multiple angles. I previously coached dozens of students through InGenius Prep and currently work as an essay editor for Collegewise, helping students develop stronger essays, clearer personal narratives, and more strategic applications. In my full-time career, I also work directly with colleges and universities on enrollment strategy and student recruitment, so I spend every day thinking about what makes students stand out and what schools are looking for.
Students I work with often describe me as thoughtful, encouraging, honest, and highly strategic. I love helping students uncover what actually makes them interesting — beyond resumes, test scores, and activities — and translating that into applications that feel authentic, compelling, and memorable. I’ve worked with students admitted to schools including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Vanderbilt University, Tulane University, University of Miami, and University of Washington, among others.
Whether you’re aiming for a highly selective school or trying to figure out what type of college environment is the best fit for you, I’d love to help make the process feel more thoughtful, manageable, and successful. Look forward to meeting you!
