I am currently an MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and earned my Bachelor of Business Administration with highest honors from the Red McCombs School of Business at UT Austin. Professionally, I’ve worked across investment banking, private equity, and strategic finance, partnering with founders, corporate boards, and institutional investors to shape business narratives and navigate complex strategic decisions. As someone who navigated the college admissions process as a first-generation Indian-American student—ultimately earning a spot at UC Berkeley for EECS and later Harvard Business School’s 2+2 program—I know how daunting and confusing this journey can be. I take a humanistic, there's a school/program-for-everyone approach to college coaching. I've previously worked in admissions at Ivy League schools and in student affairs. I've also I've coached students, from first-year's in high school to seniors that got into Penn, Cornel and MIT, to name a few. I care about getting to know you so that we can find schools that aren't just the "best programs," but the "right fit." Ultimately, if don't enjoy life outside the classroom, you're more likely to be miserable inside the classroom. I've had the privilege of working in diverse research settings, including the Mayo Clinic and Pfizer, which has honed my ability to guide students through the complexities of college applications, especially those with a focus on STEM fields. Also, I was able to serve on an admissions board for a scholars group at Notre Dame, so I've learned what they are looking for in a future student. On paper, I am a Princeton college graduate, and a Stanford MBA graduate - as well as the less conventional qualification of being an admitted Ph.D. student in Anthropology at UC Irvine. More importantly to me, I grew up in a working class community, and applied to these programs with few paths tread ahead of me to set an example. For that reason, I'm passionate about working with students who are developing their voice and narrative in the application process - because with such competitive programs out there, anyone can often feel like an underdog. To date, most of my coaching has been with low-income students who have lacked extensive resources, so I am most supportive in framing narratives in ways that hint at the unique, if sometimes scrappy, qualifications of a student. I like to focus on the whole picture that an applicant brings to the table, from individual traits, to passions, to family background - alongside all the standard materials an application holds.
