I'm currently a Stanford MBA (where I'm the Student Body Co-President), and have 5+years of college admissions coaching experience. Before GSB, I spent time as a teacher (focusing on essay writing and story telling) and as a management consultant. Over the years working in admissions consulting, I have helped students based in the US, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore successfully apply to school. I enjoy coaching people from a huge range of backgrounds, but I specialize in coaching folks from lower-income families, LGBTQ+ candidates, and those from unconventional backgrounds trying to thrive in tech. I continue to follow trends and changes in higher education. I've spent over a decade on every side of the admissions table — as a Harvard PhD who taught over 30 courses to more than 1,000 undergraduates, reviewed admissions applications, and served as a Senior Advisor on the Tutorial and Advising Board. I've worked alongside Nobel-winning faculty and nationally recognized writers, and I know exactly what the candidacy profile of a student who gets in looks like. More than 300 of my students have been admitted to Stanford, Princeton, Brown, Vanderbilt, Cornell, NYU, UC Berkeley, UChicago, and many more. My approach is personal and narrative-driven. I help students uncover what makes them distinctive and build a cohesive application story — from Common App essays to activity lists to interview prep. I speak five languages and work especially well with international and multilingual families navigating an unfamiliar system.

I've been building and investing in companies for the past decade. After graduating from Yale, I had a couple stints in consulting and global health before finding my way to startups. I started two companies, one a surplus food marketplace and the other in office management software. Neither was extraordinarily successful, but gave me a taste for helping companies go 0-1 and allowed me to meet some exceptional founders and builders. I started angel investing, realized I enjoyed investing/advising, and went to Wharton/Lauder with the intent of exploring venture capital (and to get better at Chinese). While in business school, I met Contrary and started working full time while still in my 2nd year. After graduating, I stayed on, became a partner 1.5 years in, and led deals in a number of great companies (Orchard Robotics, Nomic, Endeavor AI, etc.). I transitioned to a board partner/advisor role this past summer and have spent most of my time since helping build companies and continuing to angel invest. My angel portfolio includes companies like Ramp, Warp, Clara, Slingshot AI, and many others.
