About Deven
I'm Deven Hurt — an attorney, entrepreneur, and operator who's spent my career at the intersection of law, sports, and tech. I am originally from Long Island and from there I went to Harvard for school (undergrad in Biomedical Engineering and Law School). Career wise, I went from writing cybersecurity code at Nike and advising the NBA to co-founding PredictionStrike, a sports fintech platform I built from zero to ~300,000 users and $150M in processed trades. I'm now the Head of US Legal and Franchise Business Director at Kings League in New York. I'm admitted to the New York Bar and bring a rare combination of founder hustle, in-house legal experience, and real operator credentials.
Why do I coach?
Every major opportunity I've landed — Harvard, Harvard law school, my first job, my first term sheet — I had help. Mentors, advisors, and people who'd been through it and were willing to pull back the curtain for me. I wouldn't be where I am without them. Now I'm on the other side. I've built companies, practiced law, navigated non-traditional career paths, and learned what actually moves the needle when you're trying to break into something competitive. Coaching is how I give that back — whether you're applying to college, law school, or chasing a career pivot that doesn't fit neatly into a template.
