Having worked my way up to Principal at GSV Ventures, I have firsthand experience in building a career in venture and all the different aspects of VC (sourcing, deciding, winning, helping startups). I also spent four years in management consulting at Bain. At both GSV and Bain, I was heavily involved with recruiting and interviewing candidates. I have >10 years of investment experience across three different asset classes. This has allowed me to build a unique framework to capital allocation in the VC space. I broke into Venture Capital with 0 years of experience, in a market where I had no network, during a recessionary period. I can coach on (i) network building, (ii) thesis creation, (iii) interview prep, (iv) case studies and (v) IC pitches. I am happy to share frameworks for analyzing management teams and ranking idea quality. There are many ways to probe founders to gain insights beyond what they intend to disclose. I broke into venture capital from management consulting, navigating a path that required strategic networking, deep market curiosity, and a sharp understanding of what VC firms are really looking for. As part of a founding team at a new Korea-based fund, I helped raise a $100M inaugural fund and worked closely with partners on sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support, gaining firsthand exposure to what makes a compelling investment—and a strong candidate. On top of that, I’ve also sat on the other side of the table. I led the hiring process for analysts and interns, giving me insight into what funds actually prioritize in candidates—from resumes and cold emails to interviews and investment memos. I coach aspiring VCs on how to position themselves, craft a differentiated investment thesis, and convert networking into interviews. I bring over 8 years of comprehensive venture capital, operations, and investment experience across multiple stages and sectors. As a Venture Associate at Rethink Impact, I was team member number four, so I understand the ins and outs of what is required to build and run a venture capital firm, from due diligence to writing investment memos, building cap tables, deal sourcing, fundraising, and portfolio construction. I currently serve on the Investment Committee for Resilient Ventures where I continue to evaluate and invest in early-stage technology companies. With dual Harvard graduate degrees (MBA and Public Policy) and experience as Chief of Staff at a venture-backed fintech company, I understand both the investor and entrepreneur perspectives. I've personally navigated career transitions within the VC ecosystem and can provide practical guidance on breaking into the industry, advancing within firms, and building the skills that matter most to investment committees and senior partners.

I have been an active angel investor since 2021 and have a strong network within VC in the US and Europe. I interned with Alpine Investors and started a company that was part of Y Combinator. I have helped several candidates land a role at their dream VC fund. I spend time carefully tailoring a package for your journey, from resume and LinkedIn review, to building a networking strategy and creating a role for yourself!

I'm a current VC investor with prior experience at another venture fund as well as Goldman Sachs. I am passionate about helping others break into VC without IB experience. I also love helping give pre-seed and seed stage founders feedback on their businesses or pitch decks. I also lead the Chicago Chapter of the Emerging Venture Capitalists Association, the largest venture capital organization in the country supporting pre-partner investors. Prior to spending nearly 2.5 years in venture capital, I worked in the asset management division at Goldman Sachs. My experience at Goldman Sachs, combining deep public market expertise with strong sales skills, has provided me with a distinct advantage in identifying and supporting high-potential investment opportunities within the venture market. A bit more background on myself: I graduated early from Northwestern University with a degree in Economics, along with a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications and a Religious Studies minor. Outside of work, I sit on several Chicago-based junior boards.
