Welcome to my profile! I'm Rachel, and currently work as a Vice President on the Value Creation & Transformation Team at Sheridan Capital Partners, a healthcare private equity firm based in Chicago. I work with our portfolio company management teams across a variety of projects and initiatives that focus on growth, strategy, and operational improvement. I also have experience in the Portfolio Transformation Group at Revelstoke Capital Partners, a healthcare private equity firm based in Denver. My journey includes an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and consulting roles at McKinsey & Company and Guidehouse, where I honed my expertise and interest in healthcare. I specialize in guiding individuals through career transitions into private equity operations, leveraging my firsthand experience in this competitive field. I began my career in private equity after graduating from Georgetown, joining a multibillion-dollar fund as an investment professional. In addition to my deal work, I was entrusted with interviewing PE analyst candidates and helping determine who would join the firm — experience that gave me a deep, firsthand understanding of the recruiting process and the qualities investment teams prioritize. Combined with a Wharton MBA and a strong foundation in finance and accounting, my coaching is structured, analytical, and aligned with real private equity expectations. I help candidates elevate their technical skills, strengthen their investment judgment, and craft a compelling narrative that resonates with PE hiring teams.

I began my career in Investment Banking at Solomon Partners and graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. At Solomon, I was actively involved in recruiting — interviewing and screening 50+ candidates — and developed a strong sense of what top firms are really looking for. I’ve since gone through the on-cycle private equity process myself and know how tough and opaque it can feel, especially without the right guidance. I’m an investor with 14 years of experience across private equity and hedge funds, including 4 years at Bain Capital and 10 years in long/short equity roles at Citadel, Millennium, Balyasny, and Verition. Throughout my career, I’ve mentored junior investors, supported hiring processes, and seen firsthand how top buy-side teams evaluate talent, giving me a clear understanding of what it takes to stand out in private equity and hedge fund recruiting. I hold an MBA from Harvard Business School and an A.B. from Harvard University. I currently work as an Associate at Silver Lake in their New York office, following my tenure as an Investment Banking Associate and Analyst at Moelis & Company in their Los Angeles and New York offices where I was heavily involved in recruiting. Over the years, I've successfully coached many individuals, guiding them through the intricacies of private equity recruitment and helping them secure positions at top firms. I served as a Director of Mentorship at Trojan Investing Society (USC's largest finance organization), where I mentored a cohort of 30 students navigating investment banking recruiting. I also was a Peer Career Advisor at USC's Career Services Center where I guided students through finance careers including investment banking and investing. I've successfully navigated the highly competitive growth equity recruiting process, securing offers at Blackstone, General Atlantic, Norwest Venture Partners, and Lead Edge Capital. Most recently, I worked as an Analyst at Lead Edge Capital, where I focused on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities. I've coached students who have landed roles at top growth equity and private equity firms, including Blackstone, General Atlantic, and Lead Edge. My specialty is helping candidates break into sourcing-focused growth equity analyst programs. These roles require a different skill set than traditional private equity (less modeling, more market mapping and deal origination), and I know exactly what firms are looking for because I've been on both sides of the process.
