Michael has a brilliant intuition for thinking about business problems clearly and thoughtfully. He very clearly identifies which parts of a business problem are the essential ones, and is great at communicating why the analysis of a case rests on those simple questions. Interpersonally, he's a very clear (and witty!) communicator who can effectively get his point across, as well as broad insights that help with a variety of cases. I talked to him extensively when I recruited for economic and management consulting positions, and ended up with a job at Analysis Group. His guidance on how to focus in on key issues and clarify my communication style was invaluable.
