I reached out to Juliana to help me write my statements for the Fall 2026 admissions cycle. This last cycle was super daunting. I'm a first-gen student and there is still much I don't know about the whole process. But part of the reason why I got into several doctoral programs is because Juliana was patient with me, supportive, encouraging. Her feedback on my statements went far beyond pointing out typographical errors: she was always concerned with my voice coming through, as well as my goals and highest aspirations. And whenever I wrestled with self-doubt, more than handing out statement help, she acted as a mentor who spoke to my ability to do anything I set my mind too—easier done with support like hers. For all this, I'm grateful. I've also become confident, enough to know you won't regret working with Juliana.
