When hiring a consultant, I thought I would most require help to ensure my essays matched what AdCom was looking for – but by far the most helpful aspect of Loubna’s help was helping me define my story and match me to schools. In our initial calls, Loubna asked a lot of questions to get to know both my profile and backstory, but also the kind of environment I would thrive in. With this in mind, she recommended some schools I hadn’t considered and suggested dropping one of the ones I originally planned to apply to, based on cultural fit – I am now confirmed to go to the one school I wasn’t planning on applying to at all, but in retrospect recognize is a great fit for me! Also, I want to really stress that I was far from the ‘perfect’ applicant, as I was coming into this whole MBA process with a low GPA and other weak areas. I knew I wanted to work with someone who was realistic with me and gave me ways to compensate for the weak spots in my candidacy – Loubna helped me with that and honestly, without her, I wouldn’t have known to take steps toward compensating for certain areas, and what to even do about them. Trust me, Loubna can support you and meet you wherever you are. I would contact her earlier in the application process than later, since each person has a different strategy. I’m so glad I started working with her SEVERAL months before the round 2 deadlines. There was a lot I didn’t know going into this process, and Loubna helped me through it all.
