As an MBB alum myself, I worked with Julia to refine my casing skills in the leadup to an interview with another MBB firm. The first thing that stood out was her authentically bright and deeply supportive spirit. I reached out the day before, and she made the time - despite her busy schedule - to show up for me the next day as it mattered to her that I recieved the support I needed prior to the actual interview. Julia asked me incisive questions during the behaviorals section, giving me precise feedback in order to level up my answers in a manner that could be incorporated and deployed in the interview right away. Julia just as well knew the cases that she gave to me inside and out, such that when I structured my case in a different manner than was traditional, she pushed the case forward, challenging my thought processes in order to make sure that I reached a recommendation that was bullet proof. This is an essential component of consulting as there is no one correct way to solve a problem, but the logic behind your approach and process ought to be bullet proof. This is what Julia taught me in her feedback, but also in the manner with which she worked and conversed with me as an interviewer to drive toward the solution. For ex-MBB consultants and aspiring-MBB consultants, I cannot recommend Julia enough! Her earnest desire to help me succeed, and kind and caring approach to mentorship, was a key ingredient to my not only learning, but also re-internalizing, the principles of casing.
