Chrix is an outstanding leader and designer. Over the past 2+ years he has led the Walmart Business design team. He hired a great group of designers, built the tooling and processes to launch and entire new B2B eccommerce experience, and did it all in a remote/hyrbid work environment where he maintained great relationships with his peers on the executive team. I have had the pleasure of working closely with Chrix in the early launch of Walmart business site. He leads his team with empathy and understanding. I was doubly fortunate to work with Chrix twice in my career; at Dell as a design peer and then again as part of his newly formed UX team at Walmart Business.

While he gained experience and matured as a leader between those two stints, several aspects of Chrix remain constant: an incredible work ethic, high standards for craft, innate curiosity, and an ability to draw valuable insight from disparate information. He has both broad and deep knowledge of anything related to technology, product, and design. At Walmart Business, he helped to launch the first iteration of Walmart Business in a compressed timeline, navigated its development to continuously fulfill users’ needs and provide business value, while pushing for long-term vision to set Walmart Business as the go-to partner for our customers, all in a uniquely challenging environment. He is dedicated to his staff’s growth and has fostered one of the strongest design teams I’ve been in; supportive, collaborative, and executes at a high level. I think Chrix’s superpower is the ability to connect with people and to connect people with each other. He has forged enduring and fruitful relationships with his staff, peers, cross-functional partners, and across organizations. And he’s fun. He makes the good times celebratory and is a buoyant force in tougher times. Chrix’s absence is a loss but I’m excited for his next challenge and know he’ll meet it with his trademark grit, joy, and smarts.

Chrix led Walmart Business UX / Design for 2.5 years. He was absolutely instrumental to our launch and the build from 0 to 1. He spanned from strategic, upstream visioning and ideation to the tactical, downstream, execution against our prioritized discovery and development roadmaps. He hired, coached and grew a strong UX / Design team. And sat on my Leadership Team as a leader of the overall business. Unfortunately, as Walmart moved toward being in person in our hub locations, Chrix's circumstances did not allow him to move. I highly recommend Chrix to any company looking for an all around UX / Design leader--someone who can design himself and build a team to deliver.
