I worked with Laura on a number of high impact projects while at Meta. What has impressed me the most with Laura is her ability to set the strategy, socialize with the right stakeholders and then drive execution. She is able to be very high level when presenting to our VPs and then go into the weeds when working with our analytics and engineering teams to ensure the work is executed appropriately. Laura has deep DEI expertise but is also able to understand the business context so that her proposals land well with senior leadership. Laura is an exceptional leader and manager. She helped our team navigate through multiple hiring freezes, competing priorities and lead with empathy and compassion. There have been countless times when I needed guidance on how to proceed with the volume of work that was in flight and the lack of resources available. I had the pleasure of reporting to Laura for the past 2 years. Hands down, Laura is one of the best managers I’ve ever had. As a manager, Laura is terrific at removing obstacles, helping you think through a problem, and coaching you to greatness. Laura wants you to succeed and genuinely cares about the well-being of others. For our team specifically, Laura built an inclusive team environment and made everyone on the team feel heard and valued. She brought a warmth to our team or project meetings, she provided a space for everyone to have a voice, and she always brought everyone together to find the best solutions. Laura created an environment of trust and openness and allowed me and others on the team to get our work done in an efficient and timely manner. She always encouraged questions without making us feel like we were anything less because we asked for help. Laura always made me feel supported, whether it was with resources she has gathered or with the compassion of someone who acts as a true ally. One of the things that I value most about Laura is that every time I worked with her on a project or went to her for help, she was always willing to go the extra mile for me or the project team. For example, during our time working together, Laura and I worked on several high priority projects. These initiatives were complex and we sometimes faced roadblocks that could have resulted in missed deadlines. Laura always took the time to bounce around new ideas with me, discuss innovative strategies and share her perspective, which ultimately helped me and the project teams mitigate risks and get back on track. Laura always looked for the “win-win,” and as a project manager and one of her direct reports, I truly appreciated this. Laura is the best of the best!
