Helped me get into Stanford GSB!

I was a fellow in the inaugural HeadStart Fellowship class. Meeting Oba legitimately changed my life. Coming from an immigrant household where I had no family in corporate America let alone finance, Oba was the perfect mentor to help me not only see the kinds of roles I could aspire to, but also lay out the roadmap to get there. I can confidently say Oba was a key part of me landing all 3 of my summer internships. I was also privy to his GSB application process; can confidently say it was surgical and the methodologies can be replicated well by any clients.

Oba is incredibly committed to mentorship and helping those around him grow. He has a real passion for figuring out the best strategies to facilitate this commitment, and has a proven track record.

Working with DeVol was an incredible experience. He has a real gift for listening and asking just the right questions that make you think and come up with your own solutions. That’s what stood out the most to me, he doesn’t just give you answers, he helps you grow by guiding you to find them yourself. As an international student, he also helped me better understand the culture, reflect on where I was, and get clear on where I wanted to go. He really helped me define my goals.

DeVol has an extraordinary ability to listen carefully, deeply and giving meaningful advice specifically tailored to each individual's needs. Shani would be an amazing admissions coach on Leland! She served as the advisor for my student organization and she offered her full support and advice to the group. Despite having a full time job and a long commute between work and home, she offered her time and gave us the space to talk through things, which was essential to the organization’s growth and success.
