My journey began with a 99th percentile GMAT score, which led to my selective hiring at Manhattan Prep, where only 99th percentile scores are considered, and 7% of those are chosen. Since then, I've coached many individuals, guiding them to improve their scores and gain admission to top business schools. My approach is rooted in authenticity, humility, and expertise, as reflected in my average teacher rating of 3.95 out of 4. I'm an experienced GMAT tutor who has tutored hundreds of students over the past five years. My clients have been admitted to Harvard, Yale, MIT, Cornell, and more. I have a 98th-percentile score on the GMAT (750 original version) and a 99th-percentile score on the GRE (335). My approach is straightforward, kind, and effective. We'll spend our time on the skills you need to build to succeed, and I'll always be honest with you about your progress. My one-on-one coaching for GMAT Focus preparation covers all tested sections: Verbal, Quantitative, and Data Insights. I follow a practical, results-oriented methodology, focusing on core concepts, exam-specific strategies, and efficient execution techniques required to achieve a competitive score. Sessions include a detailed explanation of formulas, exam vocabulary, mathematical terminology, and structured approaches to time management. Based on my coaching experience, candidates starting from zero typically require 30–40 hours of instruction to cover the full scope of the exam in a thorough and effective manner.

I emphasize comprehension rather than memorization: Instead of just giving you rules to remember, I help you figure out why they work. There's no magic formula that makes the GMAT easy, but with my techniques, it won't feel too hard. A good GMAT tutor should meet students where they are, and I always strive to do this. If you know a concept but struggle to apply it to certain tricky problems, I can help you with that. Alternatively, if you need something explained from the ground up, I can help with that too. I am flexible enough to work within your mental framework, rather than imposing something completely unfamiliar. My goal is to find explanations and methods that work for you, even if they aren’t entirely standard. I'll make sure to warn you if you're heading in a wrong direction, but for the most part I view GMAT tutoring as an opportunity to help you leverage skills that you already have.
