Hello and welcome to my profile! I was accepted into 8 allopathic medical schools and received 3 full cost of attendance scholarship offers from T20 programs. Based on my experience, I have a solid understanding of how to navigate the rigorous nature of the application and interview process and can help you put forward the best version of yourself to medical school admissions committees. We will be writing your story and practicing interviewing skills a lot, as these are critical tools you will need.

Having recently gone through the medical school application process, I am excited to mentor premedical students as they prepare their own applications. I was fortunate to receive over 15 acceptances at top programs—including Harvard, Penn, Columbia, Duke, Yale, and Vanderbilt—along with full-ride scholarship offers. I aim to translate these experiences into actionable, individualized advice for future applicants.

I am an incoming medical student at Northwestern University, a top 15 US MD program and my dream medical school. During my application process, I interviewed at additional elite programs such as NYU and Cornell. Through tens of hours of admissions research and years of planning, I was able to develop a strategy that led to admissions success without taking any gap years. As someone with a passion for mentoring, I hope to guide other pre-medical students through building their strongest possible application that conveys their unique story, and ultimately gets them accepted into a dream program. Two applicants with the exact same experiences and metrics can craft wildly different applications and levels of admissions success. I'm Mae Wimbiscus. I recieved my undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt as well as my medical degree. I am now training in Anesthesiology at my top choice of Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard). I have been coaching others on how to not only get into medical school but into the residency that best supports them. As a recent matriculate to medical school, the application process is still very fresh in mind. Having applied to schools in both the US and Canada, with several interviews and acceptances at top 15 schools, I bring an insider's perspective that will help you stand out at the most competitive schools in North America. I consider my application to be fairly unique, in that my extracurriculars weren't necessarily the "traditional" pre-med activities. Often times, this is what worries people - "I don't know if med schools will care that I did X." Low and behold, that uniqueness may just be what catches and admissions officer's attention and leads to an interview invitation. This is just a small example of how expert guidance can help you leverage your strengths and pique the interest of the admissions committees at schools across the country.
