Applying to medical school is about more than just GPA and MCAT scores. Many applicants meet the “minimum requirements” but still struggle to build a truly competitive and cohesive application.
In this session, we’ll discuss how to realistically assess your readiness for medical school applications beyond academics alone. We’ll cover common hidden weaknesses in otherwise strong applications, the importance of timing and strategy, how admissions committees evaluate applicants holistically, and signs that it may be worth strengthening your application before applying.
This workshop is designed for pre-med students, gap year applicants, and reapplicants who want to better understand what makes an application feel genuinely ready and competitive.
Topics include:
• Academic and MCAT readiness
• Clinical, service, and extracurricular depth
• Personal journey and narratives
• Reapplicant considerations
• Emotional readiness, burnout, and timing
Hosted by Dr. Vicki, a board-certified physician advisor with 17+ years of medical admissions advising experience helping applicants nationwide and internationally.
