Hey! I’m Michael, a Wharton MBA and Forbes 30 Under 30 founder who’s navigated a nontraditional path into business school and beyond. Before Wharton, I left medical school to build a company from scratch, growing it into one of the largest Asian-centric digital media brands in the world. Going through that journey shaped how I approached my own MBA applications and how I think about storytelling, positioning, and credibility in competitive admissions processes. After going through the MBA application process last year and as I near graduation, I feel that I have a fresh and holistic perspective to share across all areas of the process for multiple Top 25 programs. Much of what I learned through that process has been so beneficial in my time at Duke.

I love mentoring and coaching students and applicants - I regularly volunteer my time with the Berkeley Haas entrepreneurship program by providing course content, speaking opportunities, mentorship hours, and coaching. I also regularly support incoming MBA and MPH students with application review, interview prep, and more. While at Haas, I worked with the MBA & MPH admissions committees for a year and picked up a bunch of tips and tricks to hack the process! My journey: pre-med undergrad > biotech scientist > healthcare management consulting > grad school > healthcare entrepreneurship & venture capital

Admitted to a U.S. top-10 MBA program with a full-tuition scholarship and stipend. 740 GMAT score. Have consulted with over five potential MBA candidates, providing advice and direction on how to position oneself for success in the application process.

I am a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA) and Princeton University, and closely worked with the admissions team on crafting an overall admissions strategy.
