My journey includes turning a waitlist at Wharton into an acceptance with a half-tuition scholarship, in addition to admission at Kellogg. This experience really equipped me with a unique perspective on strengthening applications, showing trajectory from cycle-to-cycle to improve your chances. I've successfully coached clients to achieve their MBA dreams, drawing on my experiences working with top admissions consultants and seeing the profiles of successful applicants to M7 business schools. Deferred programs value 'non-traditional' backgrounds, whether that be academic, professional, or something else entirely. I know, because I’ve been there. I grew up in a low-income community, worked my way into Deloitte, and earned admission to Harvard Business School without the kind of advantages many applicants rely on. I’ve also coached consultants and bankers who worried they’d blend into the crowd. Hi everyone! I’m Sydney, a 2024 MBA graduate from Harvard Business School. Having been admitted to several M7 programs, I know how to shape a story that stands out in a highly competitive process. In my own applications, I successfully explained both a past career pivot - from Investment Banking to the less traditional field of Investor Relations - and my plans to pivot again after HBS into the business of sports.
