My experience as a Strategy Analyst at Liberty Mutual and Ford Motor Company, combined with my leadership role as President of the UC Berkeley Interfraternity Council, has equipped me with the skills to guide clients through the complexities of the MBA application process. I have successfully coached 5 individuals, helping them craft compelling applications that highlight their strengths and unique stories. I currently work within the Quantitative Finance space, and have been accepted to Harvard Business School in the deferred MBA program. I’m an HBS MBA, former Deloitte consultant, and former Head of Talent Acquisition at a publicly traded biotech company. I work with people from nontraditional backgrounds who are applying to top MBA programs and need help telling a story that actually stands out. My sweet spot is candidates outside the usual MBB and finance tracks who know they’re strong but aren’t sure how to position themselves. My own path to business school wasn’t typical either. I studied sociology in undergrad and nearly pursued PhD programs before finding my way to HBS. I’ve reviewed thousands of resumes, been published twice, and helped many friends through admissions, including several who got into HBS. I’m a CPA and a Tax Manager at Deloitte. I’m on Leland because I know what it’s like to feel "pigeonholed" in a highly technical, niche role while eyeing a top-tier MBA. I successfully pivoted from Big 4 Tax to securing Full-Ride Scholarships at both Chicago Booth and Northwestern Kellogg, along with admission and scholarship offers from MIT Sloan, Columbia (CBS), Yale SOM, Duke Fuqua, Dartmouth Tuck and NYU Stern.
