When I was applying to business schools, I had no direct experience of applying to US schools. However, my goal was to apply to internationally recognized business schools to ensure that I got the full benefit of taking 2 years out of my career to study full time. I had a small network of friends and mentors that had successfully been admitted into top-tier schools like HBS, Stanford GSB, MIT Sloan, and LBS. Without their guidance, I would not have successfully been admitted into my schools of choice. My MBA opened up opportunities for me to pivot from working in mining, to management consulting at BCG, and subsequently to senior strategy and operations roles at Capital One and Google. Now, I would love to pay it back - especially to folks with non-traditional backgrounds! I'm excited to support you with application strategy, crafting and refining your essays, or interview preparation.

I’m a CPA and a Tax Manager at Deloitte. I’m on Leland because I know what it’s like to feel "pigeonholed" in a highly technical, niche role while eyeing a top-tier MBA. I successfully pivoted from Big 4 Tax to securing Full-Ride Scholarships at both Chicago Booth and Northwestern Kellogg, along with admission and scholarship offers from MIT Sloan, Columbia (CBS), Yale SOM, Duke Fuqua, Dartmouth Tuck and NYU Stern. My focus is helping "quiet" professionals translate their technical rigor into the high-impact leadership stories that M7 schools look for. I’ve lived the 60+ hour work week grind while navigating the application cycle, and I’m here to help you audit your own experience to find the threads that lead to an M7 acceptance (and hopefully with scholarships).

As a Student Life Fellow at Wharton, I support admitted students and have been trained to answer nuanced questions about academics, student life, clubs, and the day-to-day experience of an MBA program. I also provide specialized guidance for applicants pursuing Wharton’s highly selective Health Care Management (HCM) program, including how to approach the application and interview process. In addition, I help candidates prepare for Wharton’s unique Team Based Discussion (TBD) interview by strengthening how they communicate, think strategically, and contribute with confidence in a collaborative group setting. I applied to every top MBA program in the country without a consultant and got into all five: Stanford GSB, HBS, Wharton, Booth, and MIT Sloan. Merit scholarships from each. Multiple full rides. GRE: 99th percentile after four weeks of prep. Five for five. I was admitted as one of the youngest members of the Stanford GSB Class of 2027. I hold multiple campus leadership roles, and outside of Stanford I serve as an Appointed Advisor to California Governor Gavin Newsom. Previously, I was an executive at a YCombinator-backed AI startup and the founding analyst of Accenture Strategy's Private Equity practice. My partner and co-coach is a JD/MBA at Wharton/Penn and a former McKinsey consultant. My own path to business school was anything but linear. I had a mix of experiences across tech, consulting, startups, and government, and I know what it takes to turn a complex background into a story admissions committees fight over. I've coached 15+ students on MBA admissions and career coaching, and am a multiple fellowship-winning writer, so I work with you hands-on from narrative strategy through final essay polish.
