With no career coaching, LSAT classes/tutoring, pre-law program/advisors, or mentors, I understand the challenges that aspiring law students face. As an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, one of the top law firms in the country, I bring real-world experience to my coaching. I am passionate about helping prospective law students see their strengths and achieve their admissions goals. As a first-generation college graduate with 9 years of law school admissions experience and over 10,000 reviewed applications, I understand the challenges students face throughout the application process. In 2010, I received a bachelor’s degree in history from California State University, Northridge. In 2013, I received a law degree from New York Law School. After law school, I worked as a staff attorney for the Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation, where I represented survivors of intimate partner violence before the New York City Family Court and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service. In 2016, I joined LMU Loyola Law School as an Assistant Director of Admissions. In 2023, I joined the UCLA School of Law as the Associate Director of Admissions & Diversity Initiatives. Now, I am a flight attendant for a major US Airline and still review law school applications. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling internationally, dinner parties with friends, and salsa dancing.

My background includes four years as a software engineer at a top-tier tech company, where I honed analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills — all of which I bring to my coaching. I’ve conducted countless interviews in a professional setting and understand how to prepare applicants to present themselves with clarity and confidence. I’ve also already helped several individuals craft compelling personal statements and prepare strong applications, guiding them through every step of the process. As a former Associate Director of Admissions at Stanford Law School, I have read thousands of applications front to back, and have a deep understanding of what top law schools are looking for. It is more than just trying to 'stand out' from the crowd. You will need to craft a highly compelling story so that you convince the admissions committee that you have amazing potential as a law student, AND you will make a valuable contribution. I have many years of experience helping prospective law students gain admission to their dream schools - even those with less than optimal GPAs and LSAT scores. I am a strong believer that an applicant is more than the numbers - but the essay is the make-it or break-it factor. I will be your thought partner and supportive advisor from start to finish. I have expertise developing individualized time lines, school lists, letters of recommendation, resumes, essays (required and optional), character and fitness paragraphs, managing waitlists and even negotiating financial aid awards. I grew up in South Tucson, Arizona, and I’m now a JD/PhD candidate at Yale Law School and the University of Oxford. For over ten years, I’ve helped students from first-gen, low-income, and immigrant backgrounds gain admission to top law schools and receive the most prestigious scholarships by turning their life stories into clear, compelling application narratives. As a Truman Scholar, Marshall Scholar, and Skadden Fellow, I’ve been through the fellowship and admissions process at the highest levels. I know how intimidating this process can feel, especially if you don’t come from backgrounds where there are few people to turn to for guidance. I’m here to help guide you through the admissions process and put forward the strongest version of your story.

I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, and earned my degrees in French and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I went on to pursue my Juris Doctor (JD) at Duke University School of Law — an experience that deepened my love for the study of law. While I briefly worked in the legal field, I quickly realized that what truly inspired me wasn’t practicing law — it was helping others find their path through education. That realization led me to pivot into the field of international higher education, where I discovered my passion for mentoring students through the admissions process. For over 15 years, I’ve worked in university admissions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. As a former admissions officer, I’ve reviewed hundreds of applications from students around the world. My experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions at the University of Chicago Booth Executive MBA program, where I gained firsthand insight into what top-tier programs look for in standout candidates. I spent over a decade living in Hong Kong, where I worked with both local and international students on applications to law school, MBA, Master’s, and undergraduate programs. Now based back in Raleigh, I continue to support students worldwide as they pursue their academic and professional goals. I want to make it easier and more predictable for others to figure out the strategies needed to get into "elite" institutions like the ones I attended - I had to stumble across these strategies myself, and want to take the guesswork out of the process for others! Most importantly: I'm passionate about helping folks figure out their unique Why - so that they can create a career rocket ship, and craft a compelling narrative for it.
