I wasn’t the typical profile for Carnegie Mellon University’s undergraduate class. With a 3.5 GPA and limited extracurricular involvement because I was supporting my mother at home, I assumed top schools were out of reach. What I underestimated was the power of a compelling narrative. Despite my lower GPA, I became a QuestBridge Scholar, earned a full ride to College of William & Mary and significant scholarships from University of Notre Dame and University of Virginia, and was admitted as a Science and Humanities Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University. Since then, I've helped students of different backgrounds get into their dream schools by crafting an application that highlights their strengths and mitigates their weaknesses. I was admitted Early Decision to Duke University and also received the Regents Scholarship to every UC school I applied to (including Berkeley and UCLA). I had a 4.0 unweighted GPA in high school and a 4.0 GPA at Duke University, where I graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Classics and Computer Science. While I have been told I am a skilled writer, more importantly, I promise I can help you be a skilled writer as well, even if you aren't already. Writing doesn't come naturally to me, but after majoring in the classics and participating in academic debate, I have an excellent understanding of what makes writing persuasive and memorable—something I will help you apply to your college essays. GPA and extracurricular activities are important (and I will give you detailed and comprehensive advice on maximizing both of these aspects), but I guarantee that every student I coach will have not just excellent stats, but also a well-rounded application that will turn heads at any school.

I graduated from Brown University in 2020 magma cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science, with honors; I am also a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha honors society. I applied early decision to Brown in 2016, and was accepted. I received the Philo Sherman Bennet Thesis Prize for my published research entitled “Capturing the White Women Vote: An Analysis of Characteristic Determinants and Political Messaging." I was a research assistant for Professor Wendy Schiller and published two pieces with her: Cambridge University Press, Inequality Across State Lines: How Policymakers Have Failed Domestic Violence Victims in the United States (2023) and American Political Science Association: “Inequality in Human Security: Gun Ownership & Domestic Violence” (2018). I was the Interviews Director for the Brown Political Review and the Site Leader for Brown Elementary Afterschool Mentoring; through my volunteer work, I was awarded the Bonnor Community Fellowship.

After graduating with both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees, working for UNC Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and working as a College Admissions Consultant, I am well-versed in the world of college admissions. I've helped students with everything from choosing classes and extracurriculars, standardized test preparation, and school selections to editing their Common App Essay/personal statements, helping formulate their application, and interview preparation. I have additionally lived in four different countries and am very comfortable advising international students, as well as US students that hope to go to university abroad, specifically in the UK. Additionally, as a current medical student at UMass Chan Medical School and a former member of the admissions committee, I have a deep understanding of what top schools are looking for in applicants. I graduated from Harvard with the John Harvard Scholarship (top 5% GPA), a major in Integrative Biology, and a minor in Computer Science. I have over 6 years of experience working as a full-time tutor for the ACT, SAT, and SSAT. I have also worked as a college essay consultant for the past two years. I have worked with over ten clients by giving interviews and assisting with college essays. Out of the five clients I worked with during this admissions cycle, four received interviews at Harvard. On average, my students have enjoyed improvements of anywhere between 150-250 points on the SAT. I know how to teach the Writing sections so that you will receive a perfect score. Two of my students have increased their scores from 600-800 in this section, and most of my students end my program scoring perfectly on the writing section especially. My ACT tutoring prep follows similar statistics. In the two tutoring companies I have worked for in the past, I was promoted to the highest tutoring status. I tutor full-time, and I am ready to help you reach the score of your dreams.
