I achieved the highest possible level of scholarship (Presidential Scholarship, "Thomas S. Monson Scholar") coming into undergraduate study at Brigham Young University (BYU), awarded to only 50 students in each incoming class of 7000+ students. I've since helped students of many backgrounds successfully apply to BYU, including international students.

Dr. Nick J. Accrocco has been in college and university admissions for 20 years. After his time at Vanderbilt University as both an undergraduate and graduate student, he would go on to obtain an Ed.D from the University of Houston. He proudly calls Houston, Texas his adopted home. His admissions experiences include Vanderbilt University, the University of Pennsylvania in the Ivy League, and MBA admissions at American University. He has also worked 6 high school communities across the United States; serving as Director of College and University admissions at 2 of these institutions. Lastly, he teaches adult learners worldwide how to help students achieve admission at Houston, Texas based Rice University. Nick prides himself on being transparent, compassionate, and (hopefully) funny. He has gone through this process himself, so he seeks to bring clarity to what the process is and what it is not.

I’ve raised thousands in grants and scholarships, earned a full-ride to a top-tier university through need-based aid, and was selected as a Cornell Meinig Scholar for exceptional leadership ( 1 of 50 freshmen out of 5000+ accepted - Top 2% of all undergrads) . My application wins include the Brower Youth Award (2% acceptance rate) and Lilly Endowment Scholarship (2.3%). I was accepted Early Decision and have helped peers craft bold, authentic applications that cut through.
