Hi! Hope you're doing well. My name is Kyle, and I'm currently an associate at a megafund in private equity, having worked as a full-time analyst on the technology investment banking team at Morgan Stanley for two years, and having graduated from Stanford with a degree in Economics and Computer Science. I love serving as a finance coach because of the chance for me to pay it forward, given the mentorship I received from others during my recruiting journey despite being low-income, and helping my students successfully land their dream jobs at top firms. I specialize across investment banking, private equity, and asset management, with services ranging from interview case prep to financial modeling and analysis and much more. I faced a lot of challenges during my recruiting journey, and failed during interviews at 20+ firms, which fortunately has equipped me with a wealth of recruiting insights and experience. What differentiates me as a coach is my understanding of the sector landscape (ie. MM vs. UMM vs. MF funds in PE or boutique firms in IB), knowing what the interviewers will ask and what they want to hear, as well as the wealth of practice resources and materials I have for students.

After I graduated from Berkeley Haas, I spent two years as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley before becoming a Private Equity Associate at The Carlyle Group. In my free time, I am a mentor for Women In Network, a non-profit organization founded to promote and encourage females in the professional world by fostering mentorships, expanding networks, and building communities. I have helped high school and college students with thinking through their future career by helping them with interview prep, talking through their interests / what they're looking for in a job, understanding the technical portions of a model / questions that would come up in an interview, and providing step-by-step guides to recruiting. I also taught 2 Berkeley Haas classes when I was a senior in college. I prepared materials for my classes, which were "Introduction to Investment Banking" and "Introduction to Buyside Financial Modelling".

I have recruited for both investment banking and undergraduate private equity summer roles, starting my recruiting journey at community college while transferring and navigating the challenges of being an asylee without permanent status. I understand the difficulties of recruiting with a GPA of 3.33, limited industry knowledge, being a diversity candidate, feeling uncertain about how to stand out, and dealing with others' uncertainty about you. I am pleased with being able to land a 2025 Summer Analyst role at Barclays NY. Currently, I am a current student at BYU, majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Science. My focus is not solely on helping you find your ideal career path, but on identifying the firm that aligns with your values, aptitude, and skills, where you will thrive and shine.
