I’ve dedicated my life to leadership, resilience, and unlocking potential—first as a U.S. Army officer leading Soldiers in some of the most challenging environments, and now as a management consultant and coach helping professionals break through barriers in their own careers. From commanding over 150 Soldiers and managing billions in resources to being named a Rhodes Scholar—the first African-American to be elected from West Point since the program’s founding in 1902—I’ve learned what it takes to excel under pressure, inspire others, and achieve beyond expectations. I have been fortunate to have success in navigating upward career steps, with a track record of success and regular promotions at both Bloomberg and at BCG. At Bloomberg, I navigated a transition from contractor to employee and created a new more strategic role for myself. At BCG, I was promoted from consultant to project leader to principal. I was promoted early to principal and served as a formal coach and informal to colleagues as they navigated their own BCG and non-BCG career paths. Upon deciding to leave BCG, I investigated multiple opportunities across large corporations, start-ups, and franchises before settling on my next role.
