I have worked with a dozen or so coaches over the years and many of them struggle to find the right balance between listening and directing. The best coaches enable self reflection instead of dictating what you should do next. Michael is one of the rare ones who is able to help clients reflect on their careers without being too pushy. Andrea is an outstanding tutor who approached every lesson with dedication and passion. I completed my entire GMAT preparation with him and felt comfortable from the very beginning: his explanations were extremely precise, yet always practical and clear. Before I found Matt, I had hired and fired three different management consulting case interview coaches. One of them would waste 10-15 minutes of our one-hour lessons flipping through casebooks to find study material. Another would give me contradictory, confusing advice, and I couldn’t quite grasp the intuition behind it all. The last coach I used was the worst because he was always on his phone and barely paying attention during our sessions, all while charging me $500 an hour! But everything changed when I met Matt. At my wit’s end, I reached out to him because he was the most expensive tutor I could find. If this didn’t work, I was done looking for coaching altogether. Fortunately, he didn’t disappoint. It was clear from the outset that Matt knew exactly what he was talking about. He answered all my questions (no matter how specific or pointed) with ease. It was also obvious that he came prepared for every session, wasting no time and ensuring I got the most value for my time and money. What mattered most, however, was that Matt genuinely cared about me as a person. If I texted him for help at some random time, he’d respond instantly and thoughtfully. When I was going through a challenging situation in my personal life, he temporarily suspended our sessions–refusing to charge–and helped me through it as a mentor and friend. Before my interviews, he was in constant communication with me and my parents to make sure I felt great heading into my big day. Even though I’m now a BA at McKinsey who’s done with recruiting, I stay in touch with Matt. He continues to be an excellent resource in helping me navigate workplace dynamics and think about my future at and after the Firm. I can’t recommend Matt highly enough. For anyone looking for a coach, please please please learn from my mistakes. Save yourself the headaches and hassles, and just choose Matt. He changed my life, and he can change yours, too!

Phenomenal. During my recruiting process I needed someone who I could rely on to give me tangible feedback that would push my progress to get to that next level. When I started prepping with Sam she kept me accountable and would isolate specific weak points in my casing that I could fine tune. We practiced many different styles of casing (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, OW, etc.) that prepared me for what I was seeing in interviews. Beyond her expertise, she's a great mentor who truly cares about your success and development.
