Andrea’s consulting guidance helped me reason output first, hypothesis driven, believing in myself. Thanks to his guidance, I integrated three things I had always treated separately: structure, numbers, and presence. We worked on how to frame problems, how to use data to support decisions, and how to stay engaged with the interviewer instead of disappearing into my own head. By the time I interviewed, I felt aligned with the role and I ultimately received an offer from McKinsey!!!!!! He is unique, and by unique, I mean truly unique and so quick-witted, that I feel he is contagious!

I approached Andrea during my preparation because I realized I needed support, especially in the Data Insights and Quant sections. My biggest challenge was that my job imposed very rigid schedules, which made it difficult to coordinate with most tutors. What I appreciated most about Andrea was his complete flexibility and availability, despite having a demanding job and many students to support. He was available to wake up at 5am for our sessions and still able to make me laugh while explaining problems and tricks to solve quickly. A man of infinite energy and positivity! When I started working with Andrea, I thought I mainly needed help with case interviews. What I didn’t expect was how much the work would touch the way I think, decide, and show up under pressure. The preparation combined very concrete consulting skills, structuring problems, working with data, communicating trade-offs, with a deeper focus on presence and judgment. Andrea helped me understand the rules of consulting, but also how to integrate them into my own way of reasoning, rather than forcing a persona that wasn’t mine. Over time, interviews stopped feeling like performances and started to feel like real professional conversations. I became more comfortable taking ownership of my thinking, listening carefully, and responding in the moment instead of relying on scripts. That shift gave me a much stronger sense of confidence and clarity, not just for interviews but for how I approach complex situations in general. By the time I interviewed, I felt aligned with both the role and myself and I ultimately received an offer from BCG.
