John was available at a very short notice - literally 2 days before my interview. He helped me mock prep and followed up with all the feedback. Kim was incredibly helpful in my essay writing process, I went into it stressed and with no plan and left in the end with an essay that I was super proud of. She helped me make my writing stronger, and always put all her effort into helping me figure out the message that I intended. She gave great feedback that I felt led me in the right direction. If I had to do it again I would go to Kim in a heartbeat!

Kim was my daughters essay coach and assisted with the common app essay, several supplementals and a Letter of Continued Interest. I cannot say enough good things. For the common app, they were done in three sessions. I was skeptical when she said that was all it would take, but she was spot on! The essay was thoughtful and creative, and most importantly really my daughters work and read like her voice. It was amazing to me how a change in word or sentence order or structure could make such a huge improvement. That was was what I loved about Kim the most. She suggested improvements but did not write it for my daughter. Same with the supplementals. Those became tricky with the condensed word count. Kim was able to keep my daughters ideas, help to make the essay more succinct and really drive home the point my daughter was trying to make. This all continued with the LOCI. When we took a step back and read all of the essays at once, they were all in consistent voice.. which to me was so important and proved that Kim invested in my daughter, got to know her and her writing style, and did exactly what we had hoped and excepted she would be able to do.

Kim was exceptional in helping my two kids with their college application essays. What sets her apart is her ability to draw out their best ideas and help shape them into essays that are authentic, clear, and truly compelling. She guided them in a way that preserved their own voice while making sure each essay was polished, engaging, and memorable from beginning to end. Her support elevated the quality of each essay significantly, and she was also very reasonably priced. She has already helped two of my children, and I fully plan to use her again for my high school sophomore when the time comes. I highly recommend Kim!

Incredibly attractive

If you’re thinking about consulting prep, I can vouch for Justin. We grew up together and later cased a ton in college while recruiting for Bain. He was one of my main case partners, and he’s someone who really puts in the work and focuses on improving while giving clear, honest feedback. A big part of me landing Bain came from practicing with him. Even after I joined, he took time to help me get up to speed and set me up for a strong start, which says a lot about how invested he is in people’s success. If you want someone who will actually help you get better and not just go through the motions, I’d recommend him.
