I knew Max was the right coach for me when our 15-minute check-in lasted over an hour and a half. He cares deeply about getting to know you as a person and an MBA candidate. Max helped me identify the parts of my life story that challenged me and forced me to grow. We used these experiences to create building blocks for the story of why I wanted an MBA and why I wanted to apply to each school. It was a long and difficult process, but it was worth it. Max can help with any and all aspects of the MBA process and helps you identify a roadmap with realistic expectations and timelines. His continuous collaboration and "dig-deeper" mindset allowed me to see through the noise and find the clarity in my life and in the process. Max was instrumental and the reason I was successful in this MBA application process. I would recommend reaching out to him at the beginning of your process - his guidance will save you time, force you to go deeper, and the results will speak for themselves. Camden put together a really informative and helpful workshop to break down specific ways to answer the HBS essay. His workshop created a great framework for how to best answer the answer and ensure you are telling the right story for you and for HBS.

Ben's workshop breaks down one of the hardest essay questions across all MBA programs and you walk away with specific tactics, strategies, and reflections to build a foundation to answer this question. Taking this workshop and/or working with Ben will help you find your authentic answer to this hard essay question!

Gaby is a true servant leader and it shows in every interaction. He finds ways to dig into the truth you are trying to tell in your essay and ensures that it fits in with the culture and ethos of the particular program you are applying to. I would highly recommend working with Gaby for anyone trying to discover the right school of them and/or trying to find out how to articulate the Why MBA and Essay responses.

Andy is a nice coach. The course he shared with us is very helpful, it gives me some idea of how to write compelling HBS and Stanford GSB essays.

I was feeling a little anxious before my scheduled eMBA interview so I reached out to Geoff to get some feedback on the prep that I had done. After hopping on a quick call to discuss some of my goals, I booked a mock interview with Geoff. Geoff was an exceptional interviewer who came very prepared to our interview. Where he really stood out though was his specific insights on how I could improve. He gave me tangible feedback on how to more clearly answer the questions, how to find opportunities within the given questions to expand on what I thought was important for the committee to know about me, and mental strategies to be myself and not clam up. After our time was up, Geofff provided me with an audio file of our mock interview which allowed me to hear myself as the interviewers would hear me. This really helped me pinpoint exact opportunities to improve myself. Geoff messaged me the day before the interview with words of encouragement and gave me an extra boost of confidence to be vulnerable yet firm during my interview. I have yet to hear back, but my goals going into the interview were to clearly articulate my atypical candidacy and feel at peace that I would clearly present everything I wanted to convey to the committee. With Geoff’s help, I can say I successfully achieved my goal. Overall, I highly recommend Geoff to anyone who is looking for a coach or mentor in eMBA prep interviews. He’s got a bunch of additional tips that I didn’t write out in this review so if you’re looking for those and personalized guidance by someone who is not only qualified but also invested in your success, you’ll need to book him!

I hired John for a mock interview and I am incredibly pleased with the time I spent with him. John was both friendly and approachable and gave me a mock interview that felt realistic and valuable. He was thoroughly engaged throughout the whole interview asked me thoughtful questions that forced me dig deeper and think introspectively about my life and my experiences. He provided me with detailed feedback on my performance, including specific areas where I excelled and areas where I could improve. If you are looking for someone to help you prepare for an interview, I highly recommend working with John!

I attended Sowa's What Matters Most essay workshop recently, alongside a few other prospective deferred MBA hopefuls. After a few bad experiences with other coaching services, I went in expecting a generic presentation, in which I would be told information that you could easily google in just a few minutes; however, my experience was anything but generic. Sowa's genuine desire to see her clients succeed was felt immediately, as she went out of her way to try and learn about us, despite our limited time, in an effort to supplement her workshop even further. Throughout the presentation, time and time again, Sowa provided insights into the essay drafting process, examples of successful essays, and even exercises we could do on our own time to improve our essays long after the workshop session had concluded. If you're not sure if MBA coaching is the route you want to take, I would gladly recommend Sowa's workshops as a place to get started and see if this is the right choice for you, because I'm not sure anyone could've done it much better.
