I had a lot of test anxiety building up to the GRE exam date. As such, I knew I needed extra help to not only learn the test but to be mentally prepared for it. I developed a holistic approach that includes lifestyle changes that helped me perform beyond my target score. I am excited to share these unique and non-traditional tips and tricks with you.

My intuitive, common-sense approach to the GRE has helped numerous students score 320+ since 2012. I emphasize comprehension rather than memorization: Instead of just giving you rules to remember, I help you figure out why they work. There's no magic formula that makes the GRE easy, but with my techniques, it won't feel too hard. A good GRE tutor should meet students where they are, and I always strive to do this. If you know a concept but struggle to apply it to certain tricky problems, I can help you with that. Alternatively, if you need something explained from the ground up, I can help with that too. I am flexible enough to work within your mental framework, rather than imposing something completely unfamiliar. My goal is to find explanations and methods that work for you, even if they aren’t entirely standard. I'll make sure to warn you if you're heading in a wrong direction, but for the most part I view GRE tutoring as an opportunity to help you leverage skills that you already have. I've found this to be a very rewarding process, and I think you will too!

It often happens that one's natural habits/practices form the strongest basis for excellence in a certain area -- a good reason for why none of my friends batted an eyelash when they heard I had begun training students in the GRE. Essentially the only books I ever read are the classics of Victorian age European and American literature, whose heightened word choices provide me with a unique appreciation/understanding for the vocabulary questions of the GRE (now a full 1/2 of the verbal questions!). But that's not all. I've had the privilege of training students in the GRE for around a decade, and am highly versed in the reading comprehension, logic, and quantitative questions. Perhaps that's why more than 60% of the students I take on are able to crank up their cumulative score by 12 points or more. Not only that, but 93% of my GRE students end up with thick envelopes -- the ones containing acceptance letters -- mailed to them by their first and second choices of grad school.
