As a current MD/PhD student at Stanford University School of Medicine and a two-year member of the MD/PhD admissions committee, I offer firsthand insight into what top medical and MSTP programs are looking for. I’ve spent nearly a decade mentoring premedical students, helping them develop compelling personal statements, refine their research narratives, and prepare for interviews with clarity and confidence. During my own application cycle, I received over 20 interview invites and was accepted to 7+ competitive programs. My path into medicine was shaped by mentorship, and I’ve worked to pay that forward. From leading national DEI initiatives like the MSTP BOOST program to tutoring local immigrants as a certified writing tutor and founding an after-school education program, I’m passionate about supporting students from all backgrounds. I coach not only to help applicants gain admission, but to empower them with the tools, perspective, and support they need to thrive as the next generation of physician-scientists and healthcare leaders.

With over 20 years in medical education, I am a passionate coach and mentor to those seeking admission to medical school, as well as to medical students applying for residency programs. Having served as an MMI Interviewer I have a strong understanding of the qualities and traits that admissions committees are seeking. Working closely with medical students from first to fourth year, I have coached and mentored dozens of medical students as they navigate the residency application and interview process. I am particularly drawn to learners who are first generation college students and/or come from socio-economically challenged backgrounds. I believe medicine needs learners who reflect the patient populations they will serve and who bring intelligence, compassion, and a strong work ethic. It is my mission to help those learners achieve their goals.

Currently enrolled as an MD/PhD student at Stanford University, I possess an in-depth understanding of the journey to college, medical school, and pursuing scientific research. I've overcome significant learning hurdles, fueling my passion for helping others overcome obstacles and succeed. With a combination of academic expertise, research experience, and a strong commitment to mentorship, I'm here to provide the support and insights you need to thrive in your journey.

I am a physician-scientist in training, and I have completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge where I was a Gates Cambridge Scholar, and I am currently pursuing my MD training at Stanford University where I am a Knight-Hennessy Scholar. I am also a Research Fellow at Caius College in Cambridge, which is one of the most prestigious independent research positions. I have over 9 years of experience in academic institutions and have been admitted to several top medical schools including Stanford, Harvard and Yale. I have experience crafting individualised personal statements for some of the world's top scholarships, including Gates Cambridge, Knight-Hennessy and Barry M. Goldwater scholarships. I also have extensive experience in writing and have published multiple sole, first-authored manuscripts in the journal Nature and have won multiple research grants from the NSF and NIH. I have mentored and worked with aspiring medical and graduate school applicants in the US and the UK and have unique insights into the admission process at top universities.

I am a qualified medical school coach because I had great success in my medical school application cycle, interviewing with 5 top-30 medical schools and selecting a top-5 medical school to attend. I applied and was accepted to medical school as an undergraduate student and matriculated straight from undergrad to medical school at 21 years old. This feat required me to master the necessary study strategies and time management, networking, standardized test-taking, and writing skills to produce an impressive application. One of my mentees was accepted into a top 5 medical school this cycle, and two others are preparing to apply in the next cycle.

I am interested in helping guide aspiring Pre-med and medical students through the admissions/application process. My journey includes completing my MD at Tel Aviv University, Internal Medicine residency at UConn, Chief Resident at Greenwich Hospital, and currently as a Gastroenterology Fellow at Rochester Regional Health. I have also obtained a graduate certificate from UConn in health professions education while in residency. Moreover, I have worked with students, residents, and peers helping them navigate the complexities of both medical school and residency applications and interviews; in addition to helping tutor for the USMLE and ABIM exams.
