About Emily
Hi! I’m Emily, a Harvard Medical School student with a background in science journalism, research, and academic medicine. Before medical school, I completed a master’s degree in health and environmental reporting and wrote about medicine and healthcare for national publications. Through both my own admissions journey and working with other aspiring physicians, I’ve developed a deep understanding of what makes applications stand out. I work with applicants to craft clear, compelling narratives and navigate the admissions process with clarity and confidence. I especially enjoy working with nontraditional applicants or anyone trying to balance multiple interests while building a strong, cohesive application.
Why do I coach?
I coach because I know how confusing and high-stakes the path to medicine can feel - especially if you don’t see yourself reflected in a single, traditional template. I benefited enormously from mentors who encouraged me to bring my full background into medicine rather than trying to fit into a narrow mold. Coaching matters to me because I want applicants - especially those who feel unconventional or unsure where they fit - to see that their unique perspective is a wonderful strength when it’s communicated thoughtfully and honestly.
