Welcome to my profile! As a recent matriculant of the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, the application process is fresh in my mind and I am here to help! Just last year, I received interview invitations from more than 18 elite medical and graduate programs and acceptances from the likes of Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and more. For most institutions, MD-PhD applicants are evaluated separately by the medical and graduate school, meaning that despite my specialized track I have ample credentials to help both medical and graduate students as they undergo this rigorous process. As a first generation college student, I have also worked especially closely with my Alma matar’s Ivy League career services department, providing me with additional professional knowledge that I can share with you! I have also serviced as an interviewer both for the University of Pennsylvania undergraduate early and regular decision cycle and Perelman School of Medicine’s applicants. I currently conduct volunteer career services counseling for first generation low income students at Penn interested pursuing medicine and biomedical research. I am a physician-scientist in training, and I have completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge where I was a Gates Cambridge Scholar, and I am currently pursuing my MD training at Stanford University where I am a Knight-Hennessy Scholar. I am also a Research Fellow at Caius College in Cambridge, which is one of the most prestigious independent research positions. I have over 9 years of experience in academic institutions and have been admitted to several top medical schools including Stanford, Harvard and Yale. I have experience crafting individualised personal statements for some of the world's top scholarships, including Gates Cambridge, Knight-Hennessy and Barry M. Goldwater scholarships. I also have extensive experience in writing and have published multiple sole, first-authored manuscripts in the journal Nature and have won multiple research grants from the NSF and NIH. Hey there! I’m currently a fourth-year medical student at Stanford, where my research focuses on psychiatry and neurology. Unlike many of my peers, my path to medicine was deeply shaped by the humanities. I graduated from Harvard, where I earned a rare joint concentration in neuroscience and philosophy. After college, I earned a master’s degree from Duke in bioethics, technology ethics, and science policy, and I furthered my neurophilosophy studies as a Fulbright scholar in Germany before starting medical school. I believe medical school admissions is about more than just getting accepted — it’s a rare opportunity for deep reflection and growth. When approached with purpose and intention, the process can shape how you move through the rest of your life and career. I bring a unique background to this work, drawing on years of experience supporting students during some of their most vulnerable moments — as a peer mental health counselor, a member of Harvard’s Honor Council, and a student representative on several faculty committees. I’ve developed a keen ability to understand each student’s journey and help them express it clearly, powerfully, and authentically.
