As a former member of the MBA Admissions Board at Harvard Business School (HBS), I have firsthand knowledge of the admissions process and what it takes to build a compelling application. I've reviewed thousands of applications and completed hundreds of interviews with applicants across all backgrounds, geographies, and industries. I also have experience working with college students applying for deferred admissions (I was part of the launch and management of the HBS 2+2 Deferred Admit Program). I have worked as an independent MBA admissions coach, guiding clients to success at their top choice schools. I’m a Wharton graduate and Harvard Business School MBA with over 15 years of experience in finance, including the last decade at Warburg Pincus—a top-10 global private equity firm managing over $100 billion—where I’m currently a Principal. Having reviewed hundreds of applications and mentored dozens of Analysts, Associates, and VPs, I understand what top MBA programs are looking for—because I’ve been through the process myself and helped others succeed. My educational experience includes a Harvard BA, Wharton MBA, Penn MSEd, and Oxford MPP. I've been coaching college applicants on-and-off for the past decade. Beyond my own successful experience applying to MBA programs, I conducted admissions interviews for the Wharton MBA program, evaluating 60+ Wharton applicants as an employee of the admissions office. I'm experienced in supporting applicants through every stage of the MBA application process -- from school selection to application to interview to waitlist strategies.

As an alum of Harvard Business and Kennedy Schools, I navigated multiple graduate degree admissions processes. I’ve worked with candidates who have successfully applied to Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT, and other top MBA programs. I started my career at Bain & Company and then worked in tech (biz ops and growth) before grad school. I have been closely involved in civic and public service opportunities including working at the US Treasury and serving as a State Delegate prior to school. While in my three-year MPP and MBA program, I worked in Venture Capital and Growth Equity investing at Norwest Venture Partners, Floodgate Ventures, and Summit Partners. I now run Growth Strategy @ Carta, a $7B tech co in Silicon Valley. I coach in my spare time because I love helping candidates distill their stories and present the best version of themselves to adcoms! When I applied, my partner was also interested in an MBA -- we wanted to maximize our chances of living in the same city during school, which led us to deeply research and contact admissions and alumni at all top 7 MBA programs to ensure we understood how we would be evaluated. After hundreds of hours of research myself, there is nothing I love more than being able to share that knowledge strategically & concisely with applicants. I particularly enjoy working with dual-degree candidates, candidates with public/non-profit sector experience and candidates interested in emerging tech and Venture Capital. As someone who applied with a partner, I can also speak to how various degree programs consider partner applications and strategy around managing dual-MBA families.

Kerry draws on her expertise as a former Harvard Business School Admissions professional, brand marketer, and MBA in order to position clients to achieve their educational and professional goals. Kerry helps clients identify their strongest selling points and present the most compelling candidacy for their business school applications. Her work covers a range of services: school selection and fit assessment; narrative brainstorming; career goal refinement; essay, resume, recommendation letter, and short answer revisions; interview preparation; career and post-acceptance consultation; and ongoing feedback and guidance throughout the MBA application process. She has extensive experience coaching all kinds of clients, from experienced candidates from a range of industries and backgrounds, to college students applying for deferred admissions (she was one of the original founders of the HBS 2+2 Program). Kerry knows how daunting the MBA admissions journey can be. As her clients’ partner, her aim is to demystify the process, reduce stress, and help guide clients to discover and achieve their full potential.
