Hi there! My name is George Lankas, Stanford GSB class of 2027. I was fortunate enough to receive acceptances to 3 top MBA programs (GSB, Wharton, and Tuck). I ran a tutoring company as a student at Georgetown University, where I helped classmates ace Econ classes and get past writer’s block on essay. I also offer career coaching – after transitioning from an IB oriented role to client facing Private Banking, I know how tricky the pivot can be! I’m a Harvard Business School graduate who got in on sheer grit — no family connections, no employer sponsorship, and definitely no 760 GMAT. In fact, I took the test eight times and ended up with a 690. I wasn’t the obvious admit. I didn’t come from a mega fund. I wasn’t a check the box candidate. But I understood the formula — and once you understand how HBS and the GSB really make decisions, your chances of admission increase exponentially. There’s a strategy to this process that most applicants — and even many coaches — miss. I’ve lived it. I’ve helped others do it. And I only work with people who are truly serious about winning. I know, because I’ve been there. I grew up in a low-income community, worked my way into Deloitte, and earned admission to Harvard Business School without the kind of advantages many applicants rely on. I’ve also coached consultants and bankers who worried they’d blend into the crowd. What I’ve learned is that admissions committees aren’t just looking for high scores and polished resumes—they’re looking for people with a story.
