I coach prospective MBA applicants who are interested in media, entertainment, and how those industries intersect with the future of tech. Before business school, I worked in management consulting at PwC, and after earning my MBA from Harvard Business School, I successfully pivoted into a role at the intersection of media, entertainment, and technology at Meta. At HBS, I served as President of the Entertainment & Media Club and as VP of Admissions for the African American Student Union, and in both roles I coached students through the MBA decision process and application strategy. My approach is objective and practical, focused on “why MBA” clarity, career strategy, narrative development, and essay review, and I also help with test study strategy and prioritization as someone who took multiple approaches to reach the results I needed and understands that process deeply.

I read MBA applications for the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley; I sat on the UT Austin MBA Student Admissions Committee when I was earning my MBA; and I've been a recruiter for top tech companies in the SF Bay Area. I received a full Consortium fellowship to complete my MBA and was also named a Forte Fellow. This coupled with my over 10 years in college admissions make me uniquely qualified to offer a diverse and informed perspective on putting together a strong application.

I’ve guided 50+ applicants into top programs by focusing on what admissions committees actually want: clarity, vision, and authenticity. My edge comes from working across finance, consulting, and government policy in both Singapore and New York — experiences that taught me how different paths can be positioned to stand out. Combined with my own success earning admits to Harvard, Wharton, and Columbia, I bring a tested, structured approach to helping clients at every stage, from profile angle brainstorming to essay writing to interviews.

With an MBA from MIT Sloan, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA from Harvard, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table on applying strategically and successfully to some of the most competitive academic programs in the world -- and securing scholarships. I was humbled and grateful to be awarded a Dean's Fellowship (50K/year, 5% of class) to MIT, and a full-tuition Presidential Scholarship (full tuition, 1.5% of class) to HKS, both without additional applications. I understand what it takes to stand out in competitive environments and have successfully helped over a dozen clients in their MBA applications. My professional journey includes management consultant roles at PwC and Booz Allen Hamilton, where I honed my skills in human capital and HR-- skills that give me a unique perspective on recruiting, resume, and cover letter best practices. As an alum of Harvard Business and Kennedy Schools, I navigated multiple graduate degree admissions processes. I’ve worked with candidates who have successfully applied to Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT, and other top MBA programs. I started my career at Bain & Company and then worked in tech (biz ops and growth) before grad school. I have been closely involved in civic and public service opportunities including working at the US Treasury and serving as a State Delegate prior to school. While in my three-year MPP and MBA program, I worked in Venture Capital and Growth Equity investing at Norwest Venture Partners, Floodgate Ventures, and Summit Partners. I now run Growth Strategy @ Carta, a $7B tech co in Silicon Valley. I coach in my spare time because I love helping candidates distill their stories and present the best version of themselves to adcoms! When I applied, my partner was also interested in an MBA -- we wanted to maximize our chances of living in the same city during school, which led us to deeply research and contact admissions and alumni at all top 7 MBA programs to ensure we understood how we would be evaluated. After hundreds of hours of research myself, there is nothing I love more than being able to share that knowledge strategically & concisely with applicants. I particularly enjoy working with dual-degree candidates, candidates with public/non-profit sector experience and candidates interested in emerging tech and Venture Capital. As someone who applied with a partner, I can also speak to how various degree programs consider partner applications and strategy around managing dual-MBA families.

I have always loved writing and crafting a compelling story. I worked in the Office of the CEO at BlackRock for several years, managing both the CEO and the firm’s narrative, and I understand how to appeal to a professional audience while finding space for personality and passion to shine through. I managed my own MBA application process and was admitted to Stanford, Harvard, and Wharton. I received feedback from the admissions counselors at each school and was able to overcome weaknesses in my application through my storytelling and interview skills. I’ve helped clients, friends and peers navigate the process including everything from time management and confidence building to narrative crafting and storytelling.
