For nearly 15 years, I served as Director of Admissions and Graduate Programs at Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA), overseeing the admissions and recruitment process for the Master in Public Affairs (MPA), Master in Public Policy (MPP), and Ph.D. programs. In this role, I reviewed thousands of applications and guided prospective students through the highly selective and holistic admissions processes. My work involved leading the admissions committee in close collaboration with faculty, with a strong focus on identifying and supporting future leaders in public service, government, international affairs, and nonprofit sectors. This experience provided me with deep expertise in evaluating academic readiness, professional potential, and mission alignment for graduate study in public policy—and continues to shape how I mentor and advise aspiring graduate students today.

Applying to occupational therapy programs involves many moving parts, and having clear guidance can make the process feel far more manageable. I recently completed the OT application process and will be starting a master’s degree and post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy at Columbia University this fall.
