Here's something people don't know about me: prior to business school, I worked on Capitol Hill and for a lobby group of business CEOs. I chose not to go to HKS because I didn't need more politics in my life. However, policy is in my blood, and I love working on the all MPP type applications, including Columbia's SIPA or Georgetown, or Johns Hopkins SAIS. For the Kennedy School, in the two-year and the mid-career program I have close to a 95% success rate. That's because in addition to thinking like a policy wonk, I consider these applications a labor of love. There's no interview for HKS, and the application and resume are demanding! But I'm here for it.

For nearly 15 years, I served as Director of Admissions and Graduate Programs at Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA), overseeing the admissions and recruitment process for the Master in Public Affairs (MPA), Master in Public Policy (MPP), and Ph.D. programs. In this role, I reviewed thousands of applications and guided prospective students through the highly selective and holistic admissions processes. My work involved leading the admissions committee in close collaboration with faculty, with a strong focus on identifying and supporting future leaders in public service, government, international affairs, and nonprofit sectors. This experience provided me with deep expertise in evaluating academic readiness, professional potential, and mission alignment for graduate study in public policy—and continues to shape how I mentor and advise aspiring graduate students today.

While attending the University of Chicago, I mentored master's degree students as a PhD student and worked in MBA admissions. I then returned to California and worked in admissions for the Haas School of Business. After spending years in academia and admissions, I have a particular interest in helping grad school applicants succeed. I have helped clients apply to Public Health, Economics, and Art History programs, but lately most of my clients have applied to Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, and Financial Engineering programs within top business schools. I scored 740 on the GMAT while working in private equity. Since graduating, I've worked across Rothschild healthcare M&A, Kroll DFI valuations, ERM climate strategy, and the City of London Corporation's transition finance program. That career range means I coach applications with a clear view of what actually matters after admission, not just what gets you in.
