I have written roughly ten applications for graduate fellowship programs and was fortunate to be awarded the Rhodes, Truman, and Knight-Hennessy Scholarships to fund the entirety of my graduate education. I've also worked with dozens of applicants with these programs and love helping others find programs that align with their goals, present themselves authentically, and ultimately have fulfilling experiences in graduate school. I have deep expertise in the entire process, from selecting recommenders to writing essays to ultimately interviewing. For nearly 15 years, I served as Director of Admissions and Graduate Programs at Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA), overseeing the admissions and recruitment process for the Master in Public Affairs (MPA), Master in Public Policy (MPP), and Ph.D. programs. In this role, I reviewed thousands of applications and guided prospective students through the highly selective and holistic admissions processes. My work involved leading the admissions committee in close collaboration with faculty, with a strong focus on identifying and supporting future leaders in public service, government, international affairs, and nonprofit sectors. This experience provided me with deep expertise in evaluating academic readiness, professional potential, and mission alignment for graduate study in public policy—and continues to shape how I mentor and advise aspiring graduate students today.
