I have many years of experience helping prospective law students gain admission to their dream schools - even those with less than optimal GPAs and LSAT scores. I am a strong believer that an applicant is more than the numbers - but the essay is the make-it or break-it factor. I will be your thought partner and supportive advisor from start to finish. He specializes in admissions strategies for elite graduate programs in law, business, public policy, finance, and economics. He has a decade-long track record of successfully guiding students to T14 law schools, Ivy League universities, Top 20 U.S. universities, and M7 business schools, including institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, Columbia, UPenn, Yale, UChicago, Cornell, Dartmouth, London School of Economics, King's College London, Duke, Georgetown, NYU, UCLA, USC, Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins. Brian was personally admitted to multiple Ivy League law schools before choosing to pursue a JD at UC Berkeley. He also holds a master of social science from UCLA.

Perhaps the best definition I’ve heard of a law school personal statement is that it’s a chance to tell your story. My goal is to capture a side of you that no one can deny is uniquely you. Law school trains you to be an attorney. But every student, every lawyer, is first and foremost a person – with a story. Your story informs your judgment. As an attorney, you hold tremendous power in society. Showing an admissions committee who you are through your story demonstrates how you’ll use that power responsibly. Our purpose is to tell your story. I believe every person has greatness inside of them and our goal is to show your greatness through your story.

I have advised hundreds and hundreds of law school applicants over an almost twenty year period. I am an expert in law school admissions and have also published a book and a nationwide column about it. Many applicants that I have advised have been admitted to their top choice of law schools. Some of my former students have also received up to full scholarships to law school. I am also an expert on the subject of legal careers, as well as alternative legal careers. In addition I have taught several courses for students planning to apply to law school. I am a graduate of Brown University and Boston College Law School.

I am currently attending Stanford Law School, after having received admission to several other T14 law schools and some very generous scholarships. I deferred law school for a year to obtain a Masters at Oxford University on a full scholarship from Columbia University. I have extensive experience in editing application essays and resumes for mentees and friends, and several of these people have gone on to win prestigious fellowships or gain admission at T5 law schools such as Columbia Law School. I am committed and detail-oriented – key components in crafting compelling law school applications. I was admitted to Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, and Stanford Law School, among others. I also received full-tuition scholarship offers from the University of Chicago Law School and Columbia Law School. I have demonstrated experience with crafting law school application materials and with LSAT preparation (I scored in the 99th percentile, and I have helped others do the same). Currently, I'm studying politics at the University of Oxford, where I am a Barry Scholar. The Barry Scholarship is awarded to around a dozen students in the United States each year, and it fully funds the pursuit of any graduate program at Oxford. I was admitted to three programs at Oxford, each of which was competitive. I'm experienced with writing, editing, and interview preparation. I specialize in applications to law schools, master's programs, and prestigious scholarships.

I didn't take a straight path to law school, and that's exactly why I can help you figure out yours. I seriously considered applying straight out of undergrad, then chose to build my career first at Goldman Sachs, and then still decided I wanted to deepen that experience by diving into renewable energy industry in Nairobi, Kenya before I finally felt ready to commit to a JD. I've thought through every version of this decision, at every stage, and I know how much the timing, framing, and self-knowledge behind your application actually matters. Along the way, I've coached my fellow Goldman Sachs analysts through our informal Law School Admissions Preparation program and guided friends, colleagues, and fellow alumni through the graduate school process. While recruiting for Big Law this year, I earned one of the strongest interview scores in my law firm's recruitment cycle and secured a leadership fellowship worth $50,000. I I bring a nontraditional perspective to law school and business school admissions, having spent nearly eight years in the professional world and over five years living and working abroad in Dubai and across the Middle East before returning to graduate school. I earned both my B.A. and M.A. from Brown University and was accepted into nearly every law school I applied to, as well as multiple JD-MBA programs. I also earned multiple merit scholarships at every school I was accepted to, and successfully navigated the negotiating process to increase my package based on other offers. Alongside my academic and professional journey, I am a three-time Ironman 70.3 finisher and competed at the 2023 World Championships, which reflects my commitment to discipline, resilience, and long-term goal-setting. I am deeply passionate about helping others navigate ambitious transitions while maintaining balance, well-being, and a clear sense of purpose. I earned my JD from Howard University School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of my class while serving on law review. After law school, I joined Paul, Weiss and later Kirkland & Ellis, advising leading private-equity sponsors on multi-billion-dollar M&A transactions, carve-outs, and complex fund formations.
